Getting started in the Hackathon
Short background info
Introductory talk on Friday 07/10, 8pm
Foodsaving tool
The foodsaving tool - written in Django (Python) and AngularJS 1 (JavaScript) - will be a modern website to support foodsharing and -saving groups worldwide to manage their food pickups and to support community development.
Development started one year ago at the first yunity WuppDays in Italy. The long-term goal is to create a full-blown sharing and saving platform (as advertised on yunity.org). We decided to develop it step by step in an agile way, and the first step is to build up and support foodsaving groups.
Are you interested in building a brand new platform, doing code architecture, graphical design and feature development?
Then look in
Karrot for details!
Foodsharing.de
The foodsharing.de platform - written in PHP, MySQL, HTML, Javascript and CSS with just some small parts of some libraries - should be maintained, refactored, modernized. It has been written mostly by one person and we still need the platform for at least another year. Do you have experience in working with legacy PHP Code? Are you into testing? Do you have ideas about a simple but safe deployment system? Are you just willing to contribute some lines of PHP Code? Or you want to clean up a lot of messy javascript? Then please read further or help us making the foodsharing.de platform betterÂ
See foodsharing.de Article for details.
Foodsharing.de app
There is an Android app, made with PhoneGap. Have a look at it, https://github.com/raph-ael/foodsharing-app, feel free to improve, define necessary APIs (which will be refactored/implemented in the backend!) or fix. Backend API paths are currently mostly diverged from the website - so expect a little bit different behaviour.
Side projects
There are some other projects and ideas that we are working on in yunity. Look at /wiki/spaces/ARCHIVE/pages/65995255 for more details.
