The WuppHouse Bad Dürrenberg

- A place for sharing that powers social change -

An old train station will shine again!

Dirt, junk and a broken roof. The railway building in Bad Dürrenberg was severely damaged over the last years. Now this is about to change.

Covered in a thick layer of dust, there is a place, where the change towards a society of cocreation is emerging. The WuppHouse encourages relationships, where people share their skills, resources and time unconditionally. Through these connections and communities, alternative ways of living will become tangible.

Why are we doing this?

The WuppHouse Bad Dürrenberg is where motivated people want to realize their vision of a society based on self-determination, trust and collaboration. Knowing that a focus on profit, power and greed alienates us from each other, we create an open frame to explore new ways of living: In Bad Dürrenberg we want to develop concepts of unconditional sharing (e.g. free shop, repair café, urban gardening), to make them available to other communities and refine them together. We aim for local commitment for global responsibility.

The history of the idea of a WuppHouse

In September 2015, 30 people of diverse backgrounds came together to develop a common vision: yunity - a community and movement, that promotes sharing as the bridge towards a world of collaboration for the benefit of all. Over the following months more and more people gathered in different places in Europe, to work on concepts and start direct actions. The wish for a permanent location was born in this context. It was envisioned to be a place, where people can work on spreading change. Now we found it! Wupp wupp!
