Met the local newspaper Mitteldeutsche Zeitung (Melian von Alst, Redakteurin Lokalredaktion Merseburg. 034612591817 redaktion.merseburg@dumont.de)

Visited the maker space Leipzig. Met Andre who is doing the marketing for the maker space. Very friendly and interested in networking. We can leave flyers there, they will mention us in the next newsletter and we can do a workshop there.

Article featuring our endeavour in the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung.

The local radio called. Contact: Ms. Hendel (+493455258491). They will make a short report about the WuppHouse tomorrow morning. They are very interested and said they are going to call more often. +493455258491

We met Matthias Fritsch, chairman of the CDU. He has a look if we can present our endeavor tomorrow at the Stadtratssitzung (city council meeting)He is the owner of a shop for innovative building materials called Scandos

Established connection to Michael Schmidt, who has a seminar-house 20 minutes outside of Berlin, that could host 300 people for 3 weeks (camping and also sleeping inside would be ok). Trying to form a organization team for WuppDays Berlin in April/May 

Foodsharing Stuttgart will send some rescued food to the WuppHaus

Sponsoring-request sent to Wilmersburger for the event at the WuppHaus (Bürgergespräch) at the 3rd of December

Philip Engelbutzeder met Markus Taschner (head of the city council, owner of http://www.reta-automobile.de/). He will support us with car batteries.

Wilmersburger is sending a parcel on the 01.12.2016 with vegan food. We have asked for a longer cooperation, especially to rescue food from Wilmersburger that is out of date or has some production failure. 

email to Friederike Habermann, who was interested to make a big event at the area of the Fusion Festival this summer. Wrote her about the WuppDays Berlin XXL idea and that we could join forces to make both happen.

Philip Engelbutzeder talked with Friederike Habermann about organizing a meeting in Berlin in January for everybody who is interested in organizing the WuppDays XXL in Berlin (late spring) and the summer gathering at the Fusion Festival area

Talked to Melian von Alst (Mitteldeutsche Zeitung), if they are publishing an articles that promotes the survey

Philip Engelbutzeder contacted Hammer Fachmärkte in Merseburg. They have his phone number an are going to call if they have mattresses or building material.

Philip Engelbutzeder skyped with Marci from Paris who is interested in setting up foodsaving there

Melain von Alst, journalist of the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung was here with a photographer. She is writing a report about the WuppHaus in two days, which is going to be about the survey, the event on 3rd of december (Bürgerdialog) and the Freifunk. And they made a little video.

Paul Free and Philip Engelbutzeder went spontaneously to the townhall and met Stefanie Hermann. It was a very nice meeting. She is coming to visit us on the 7th of December. We offered support in the endeavor of the Kinderstadt (childrenstown) she presented at the city council on 24.12.2016. She has good contact to the schools.

Rosina Klotz and Paul Free contacted some more folks in the Stadtverwaltung (details maybe later). Also have a meeting sheudeld with Christian Schulze next week 6.12 at 16:00

Paul Free contacted by e-mail nearly all people from the "Stadtverwaltung" via e-mail to inform about "Bürgerumfrage" und "Bürgerdialog". Also some from the Stadtrat and most of the "Vereine"

We had an appointment with the major at 16:00, but he wasn't there. Mr. Schaar, Leiter des Fachbereichs 3 Bauen und Umwelt, welcomed Paul Free and Philip Engelbutzeder. It was nice and warm. He said that we would need to ask, if we want anything from the city. When we were about to leave a offered us two coffee, that we rejected. 

Stefanie Hermann canceled her appointment for tomorrow. She will come to the WuppHaus at the 15.12.2016, 10am.

Paul Free and Philip Engelbutzeder were at a demonstration "Merseburg, nicht dein Image, sondern Menschen leiden" in Merseburg (15k away) to have a look. 

12.12.2016

Paul Free and Philip Engelbutzeder went to a council meeting "Ordnungs- und Sicherheitsausschuss" introduced everybody to come to the WuppHaus and we presented the survey shortly.

  • Sebastian Striegel, Member of the Sachsen-Anhalt parliament, visited us together with his co-workers Ali and Matthias for over an hour. We had a nice chat. He wants to support us with connections and we could always use his office in Merseburg (25 people conference room).
