we agree to use as little money as possible and as much money as needed in order to work towards our purposes and to fulfill our principles. We aknowdelge, that by owning a house and being in a connected world at least for now we need to cover certain costs and we agree to do so.
Staying and/or working in the space does not require any financial contributions. We are applying for fundings and accept private donations.
Principles:
- prevent waste and promote sharing and buying something is not sharing.
- be honest to ourselves and others in our relation to money
- overcome coercion (Zwang), fear of not getting enough, dept and exchange (I help you only if you help me) which are all closely tied to money.
- enable recources to go where they are needed
Criteria
We want to only buy things that are:
- not possible to be shared, saved, borrowed or donated and really needed
- at best not increasing suffering
- healthy for humans and the environment
Individuals are self-determined and can not be forced to to/not do something. Each one is asked to act at their best knowledge and belief (Wissen und Gewissen) and question themselves and others regularly and openly
Money talks:
During our annual vision talks (to be designed: at least once a year in February for two days) we will include money talks (to be designed) which include:
- personal reflection on our personal, attitude towards money (current and vision)
- collective reflection on our attitude towards and how we handle money in the space together
- vision update: how we would like it to be and action plans for what should change including
- reality update: adapting in the collective layer
