Around one week after the first yuniteers moved into the train station it still looked pretty much like a building, that was set on fire three years ago...
Still, there already has been some progress and new steps forward are taken every day!

View after entering through the main entrance.

This is the ground floor of the tower building, the hallway is leading to the middle section, where the roof is missing. That's why this huge pile of rubble and dirt has and was formed there.

To the left and right there are more rooms, e.g. four toilets, which are usable but don't have functioning flushing, so a bucket needs to be used. There also is a staircase, that leads to the upper floors (, where the floors get less and less stable, the higher you go) and the entrance to the basement, where running water is accessible.

Directly left from the main entrance is the first usable toilet. (Who needs doors anyways..? ^^)

The water source in the basement.

The postbox, that was newly installed on that day.

Write us a letter, if you want to, now we are even able to receive it! (wink)

A lot of rubble on the second floor of the tower building (where we are not living...)

View to the top left after approaching the pile visible in the first picture.

What is now the 'roof' with a lot of holes in it was once the floor of the first story.

Same position as the picture above, just turned ca. 90° to the right and slightly down.

More rubble, more dirt, more burnt building.

Staircase on the first floor of the residential building.

To the left there is the entrance to the yunity living quarters.

The roof is missing here as well, so we tried to keep the rain away from our doorstep by installing a tarp. (Worked semi-well, since it directed most of the water onto the wooden stairs, which lead up from the ground floor and made them basically fall apart... But the floor in front of the entrance was almost dry! xD)

Same position as in the picture above, but turned around by 180°.

The door on the left leads to a room that is so much open-air, that it can be called 'balcony'.

The guy in the picture is one of the locals, who help us with tools, labor and various things. On that day for example, he brought a radio, which significantly boosted morale!

The kitchen.

We built a table using a door and got a big container filled with fresh water from the basement (on the left). The big gas bottle connected to a stove, that we use for cooking purposes is not visible in the picture (would be directly behind). The chairs were brought to us by local people. Note that all the windows are intact here!

One day later the table was removed, the floor was thoroughly wiped and the sink was connected - at least for waste water.

When having a look in the room on the right in the picture above, this is what you see.

Actually one day later there already was a much nicer food storage room!

Burnt floor and broken window in what became the living room one day later.

View outside the window from the last picture.

You can see people waiting for their trains sometimes.

Same living room after some tidying and cozying up (at its best angle).
The oven isn't usable now.

Sleeping room, which is accessible on the right side of the living room.

The only room with intact windows and a usable oven. Random pieces of wood get burnt here to heat up the room and make it cozy. We try to keep the floor as clean as possible, so this is a shoe-free zone!

Smaller sleeping room/séparée on the left side of the living room.

It also has intact windows but the oven is broken. Still, note the clean floor! (wink)

The séparée in a sleeping situation after thorough mopping (same room as above)

View from the kitchen into the hall into the superfluous room into the party room

Layout

Only of the living quarters on the first floor of the residential building so far.
