Values for yunity

Contributors: Doug W, Joachim T, Taïs R, Janina A, Philip E, Robert L.
Please gather all and any values relating to yunity. Adding definitions to values is equally important. This is a creative process and we will make a decision on our values later. Please add to and rearrange but don't delete.
Inspirations;
  • (Inspired from 'Swarmwise' by Rick Falkvinge)
Proposed values and definitions;
Sharing
  • Unconditional sharing
  • making efficient use of all existing resources by not hiding it from other people but pooling it
  • The act of physical distribution, originating from the acknowledgment that we are one organism and our resources are by definition shared.
  • We share our information, our code and what we've learned without reserve -
Trust
  • expecting people to do the best they're capable of
  • expecting people to behave in a constructive way
  • "We assume good faith. We assume that everybody wants the organization to succeed, even when they do things we don’t understand." - Swarmwise
Creativity ?Cocreativity?
Cooperation ?Cocreation? ?Collaboration?
  • When I was in Swizerland my professors suggested to switch the term cooperation with collaboration. they send me a few papers about the difference and as they explained it to me it sounded very reasonable... oooh, please link.
  • Together we are stronger. Our motivation for cooperation is not individual gain (earning money) but the joy of achievement.

How are the different core values defined?
Value: Freedom
Proposals
A) We differentiate between "freedom from" and "freedom to".
We want to be free of outer restrictions
and work towards empowering ourselves to be free to choose our wants and actions.
Choices are not restrictions to us.
The ability to choose consciously is our freedom.
B)
Self-determination
We believe that everyone should enable their most fundamental freedom to expand by choosing for yourself, what your life should be about. By refusing to continue in an endless consumption loop, we stand out and stand proud of our choices.
C) further solutions: start process again including 30 min as creative process
D) 0 solution: no decision towards this concept/value in this round
