Speaking minimized with adoption of a few understood signals. As people are not telepathic and writing is slow and impersonal, we communicate information mostly by talking. By being able to express feelings silently, the audio-space is kept cleaner and everyone's words have more impact. By being able to express technical points silently, facilitators can do their task better.

Commonly seen in yunity;

  • I agree!/I like it!/yeah! - wave your hands in an upwards direction.
  • I have something to say - raise a hand.

Other useful one;

  • I think this point is dragging on/off topic - tumble hands over the other.
  • Not sure/disagree/don't like it - wave your hands in a downwards direction.
  • I have something to say directly about the previous point - raise both hands
