The "Wartenberger Hof" is a 7 Minute walk from the S-Bahn station "Wartenberg" (S75). Trains to/from the city run every 10 minutes. Wartenberg is located in the Lichtenberg district, a district which is well knows for its "Plattenbauten", prefurbished high-density building style often conducted in the soviet era. About 120k people live within a radius of 5km, which is one of the highest population densities in Berlin. People only live here. There is harly hardly any industry/businesses and no cultural life. Typical inhabitants are of low education / working class.

Michael is a nice guy and seems very honest. His main aims are to raise popularity (and knowlage it even exists) for his place (to make money, of course (wink)) and also to help the local community, as the Wartenberger Hof (and Michaels family) have has a long history in this area. Especially he is concerned that the people in this area have no access to art, that there are no events happening and that the people are isolated. He is thinking to transform one of his rooms into a co-working space.

They are very open for us hosting an event there in summer for at least 2 weeks. Ideal would be the period from 2.7. because on the weekend before they have a big event which will use the outdoor facilities, this way the tents and such dont have to be put up twice. During weekends the place is usually booked out and in the summer months it will deffinately definitely be booked out. This means we will not be able to use most of the inside rooms from friday mid-day to saturday night/sunday morning. The only room that would probalby probably be avalable available to us the entire time is the "Kaminzimmer" which is about 50 sqm. And maybe also the "Rittersaal" the two big halls will not be avalable available for sure. Capacity wise it probalby probably makes sence sense to aim at 300 pax max. maybe 500 for 1 or 2 "public" days. but otherwise it will get to crowded. Camping is possbile possibile outside and should be done by most visitors. But one of the indoor rooms could also be used for sleeping (on brought folding mats and such), they are not prepared to offer sleeping-places which also means they dont have any showers (but enough lavaratorys). This means (cold) showers would have to be arranged in an outdoor setting (tent or so).

The place doesn't have a shower but we could build an outdoor one.

We can use a small regular kitchen and a big oven outside (pizza!)

Michael suggested to get in contact with the local politicians and see if they like to support the endeavour.
