Der Tauschring Wedding ist ein nachbarschaftliches Netzwerk, in dem Fähigkeiten und Dienstleistungen ohne Geld ausgetauscht werden können. Getauscht wird auf Zeitbasis: jede Stunde investierte Zeit wird auf einem Zeitkonto gutgeschrieben und kann wieder für etwas anderes eingetauscht werden.

The Berlin Network of Independent Project Spaces and Initiatives is a loose association existing since August 2009. The network aims to establish a long-term structure to enable new forms of cooperation and exchange, to express themselves politically and to advocate for the improvement of working conditions. More than 150 project spaces and initiatives are invited to regular meetings.
The self-image is currently set with five characteristics:
− Project spaces and initiatives are implicitly understood as independent
entities in the sense of a self-determined and self-organised work
structure and style.
− Their artistic activities and projects are not market-oriented.
− Their work is interdisiplinary and transcends boundaries.
− Their work is characterised by fluid transitions between art production and discourse.
− Through their engagement offering their space in an art context to projects, discussions, and activities of others.

Dinner Exchange Berlin is a series of convivial gatherings of people who are interested in the issue of food waste as well as a catering service. Prior to the dinner, lunch or breakfast, we collect food that would otherwise go to waste from markets, bakeries, wine merchants, coffee shops and other food distributors. From this random collection of ingredients we create innovative dishes and, hopefully, situations of vibrant social interaction. After each event, part of the income goes to initiatives and organizations concerned with food waste.

Imagine a future where every available space in big cities is used to let new green spaces bloom. Green spaces that local residents create themselves and use to produce fresh and healthy food. The result would be increased biological diversity, less CO2 and a better microclimate. The spaces would promote a sense of community and the exchange of a wide variety of competencies and forms of knowledge, and would help people lead more sustainable lives. They would be a kind of miniature utopia, a place where a new style of urban living can emerge, where people can work together, relax, communicate and enjoy locally produced vegetables.

Gleisbeet
Auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen Wriezener Bahnhofs in Berlin-Friedrichshain ist in den letzten Jahren entlang der Helsingforser Strasse ein öffentlicher Park entstanden. Eine Teilfläche wird seit 2011 von GleisBeet e. V. als Gemeinschaftsgarten genutzt. Dabei werden die Prinzipien der Permakultur angewendet.
