Everybody is free to do design for yunity, which includes the following tasks:
Published design source files (images, posters, movies) should be stored in a central repository to enable easy collaboration. A design source file can be easily edited, while some export formats are harder to edit. Export formats are sometimes easier to use, so please also publish them.
Examples:
Wiki design section: https://yunity.atlassian.net/wiki/display/YUN/Design+Team
Small files (Guide: less than 500 MB) can be directly uploaded to the wiki (drag and drop in edit mode)
Bigger files (e.g. movie projects) could be uploaded to Slack (2 Terabytes of free storage) or another hosting service (Google Drive, OneDrive, MEGA, etc.) and linked in the wiki.
We prefer file formats which are well supported by open source software. Examples: SVG, PNG, JPG, GIF
We avoid proprietary and patent-protected file formats, as they hinder collaboration. You are free to use them, but please keep in mind that other creative people won't benefit from your creation as much then.
If you created a design file using proprietary software, please also publish it in an open format.
All the files for yunity will be published in CC0 or the least restrictive license available, as decided here.
