Wow! Amazing!

Amazingness turns out to be one of the core concepts of yunity, or rather yuniteers. This can be seen in the frequent usage of the term 'amazing' and the honestly felt according emotion, as well as the deeply felt appreciation for media like the Amazing Horse Song or the application of the concept in self-created content like the Ode to the Cooking Team

To reflect this sentiment in the yunity organizational structure an #amazing channel was initiated on Slack and an Amazing Team will be created shortly.

We heartily invite everyone to join the amazing movement and aim to collect all relevant info on this page.

Concept

The underlying concept of the amazing faction in yunity (as perceived by Janina Abels) is the vocal manifestation of the apparent amazingness that surrounds us. Instead of focusing on all the things that don't work, we prefer to look at the bright sides and lay more stress on the beauty and positivity out there. Really deeply appreciating all the amazing things we encounter on a daily basis and voicing said feeling builds a consciousness that is aware of the existing amazingness, which then becomes obvious in the beauty of nature, harmonious human interaction, individual fulfillment and everyday positive encounters.

Requirements

If you officially want to join the amazing movement you need to join our Slack channel #amazing and change your username to 'amazing_username'. Here is how you do it:

  1. Go to your 'account settings' (You can find those either by clicking your own name in any channel or by opening the menu on the top left and selecting 'profile & account')
  2. Expand 'Username'
  3. Change your username accordingly.
  4. Embrace your amazingness!

Drinking Game

As soon as the concept of conscious amazingness is established, the following should be a very functional drinking game. If you are still in the early stages of establishing your amazing culture you can follow these simple rules to make the game work:

  • Before every noun the adjective 'amazing' has to be added.
  • If forgotten, the person who failed needs to drink.
